 There are several options for getting to downtown Fort Myers and the city's hotels, with public bus services, hotel courtesy shuttles, a fleet of taxis and several reputable limousine operations.
Southwest Florida Airport (RSW) is close to central Fort Myers and many travellers who have booked accommodation in advance are able to take advantage of courtesy hotel shuttles.
Travel by Buses
Fort Myers' public bus transportation service is run by Lee Tran, with services operating throughout the day from 06:00 to 22:00. Buses run to the city every hour and travel via connection points on Daniels Parkway and US-41. Services from these transfer stations go to several routes around the city and nearby beaches.
Travel by Hotel Shuttle Buses
For added convenience, those who have hotels booked will usually get free transport via a courtesy hotel bus for the establishment of their choice. The following hotels offer courtesy shuttles from Southwest Florida International Airport: Best Western Airport Inn, Comfort Suites, Country Inn and Suites, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Select, Homewood Suites, Sleep Inn and Wynstar Inn and Suites. Some hotels only run shuttles in the mornings and at night, while most run 24 hours.

Taxis go from the ground transportation booth situated between the terminal and the short-term car park. Unfortunately, there are no on-demand, shared taxis.

Bookings can be made in advance or at the ground transportation booth located between the short-term car park and the terminal building. On-demand limousines are also available for transport to the city and hotels.
